Remembrance options for your ceremony

When a loved one is unable to attend your wedding consider having a moment of silence during your ceremony. The following is an excerpt from a recent ceremony.

“Before we continune Josh and Jamie would like a moment of silence in rememberance of those unable to be here today. While we are saddended by their absence, there is comfort in knowing they have a special place in our hearts.”

Other options are:

  • Wear their watch, even if it does not work
  • Wear a piece of their jewelry, necklace, bracelet, or tie pin
  • Have a memory table in the reception area
  • An empty chair with flowers on the end of the front row
  • Light a candle
  • Include a note on the program
  • A picture of them in the bouquet
